It’s done! We have officially released our third album, Don’t Say You Don’t Know What You Want. Feels pretty great. It’s not quite for sale online, but will be pretty soon. In the meantime, a couple songs are up at our myspace page. Myspace feels pretty great too.
Citizens of Victoria can pick up a copy at Ditch Records or buy one from us in person at our very exciting cd release show! February 26th at the Victoria Event Centre. It’s all happening! Advance tickets are $12 at Ditch, Lyle’s Place and Larsen Music. Pharis and Jason Romero will be opening. Erik Volet will have some artwork hung up. Fine friends will be joining us on cello, trumpet and bass. Music starts at 8pm. And it will be awesome!
That is all!

Here is a song I wrote for Christopher Vickers! He is 28 years old today. I am pretty impressed with myself. I credited this work to Captain Peter “Teethless” Teeth and imagined that it could be found on the Famous Tramp Songs of the Bygone Era compilation. I think everyone else should write a famous tramp song and we can really get this thing off the ground! Give it wings, if you will. Or legs!
Okay! Enjoy!

Aloha, Aloha readers! It’s Marc from Elephant Island here. I’m now also playing guitar and pedal steel in an all-new tribute to The Band including members of Outlaw Social and Noises From the Toolshed. We’re called Walcott’s Medicine Show and our first show is coming up soon: Thursday, October 25 at Logan’s Pub (1831 Cook Street, Victoria). We’re just pleased as punch about playing this superb batch of beard-rock songs. We’re also very excited that we will be having a few guests on stage with loud, shiny metal instruments you blow into!
Hope to see you there.
Marc

Hey! Jim Knox made a video for an Elephant Island song as part of Cinevic’s Reel To Reel contest. It features a host of lovely local actors and can be viewed here.
Thanks Jim!
