Aloha and Ahoy!
26 July 2006. Posted by Sarah.
Among the many things we sent out in the newsletter yesterday were some new websites I’ve been working on for a variety of clients. (Variety might be an understatement, this time.) These are all online for you to visit now!
- Island Sexual Health Society provides clinics and sex education programs here in Victoria. See if you can spot any friends of Aloha in the photos! My personal favourite photo is the young couple trying awkwardly to be good sports as they pose in front of a poster of a uterus.
- Musiklus features music for worship by Ron Klusmeier of Parksville, BC. The site due for a visual redesign, but any web geeks out there might be interested in seeing a mid-sized site completely run on Textpattern. Static pages, galleries, event listings, a blog… and soon a complex music subscription service. I’m addicted to Textpattern’s unrelenting elegance on the coding side and the content interface.
- Thimble and Thistle is a new line of historically inspired embroidery kits and patterns by my friend Andrea Nichol. (I built her simple PayPal shop.) I can’t get over how much blackwork embroidery looks like pixel art!
