Mark your calendars: Elephant Island will play with local oldtime/goodtime pals Outlaw Social on Saturday, March 10 at Metro Studio (you know, in the back of the conservatory cathedral at Quadra and Johnson).
Metro has cool new theatre seats to round out their ever-swankier interior, and an event calendar that is really heating up. The entire Intrepid Theatre season looks exciting; several great festivals will be at Metro this year (Uno solo performance, Edges film and media fest); at least one production has a nudity warning; and best of all, they are booking more and more live music (Paper Cranes are playing there on Friday).
I am pleased. Victoria can always use a centrally located, all ages / licensed live venue, especially one with cushy seats and a real sound person!
